More on Management Consultant Workshop

March 4, 2010 — VANCOUVER, B.C. – Participants in Consulting Conference 2010, the management consulting conference sponsored by the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of B.C. (CMC-BC) May 28 – 29 also have the option to register for an additional day-long workshop May 30 called The Consulting Assignment Solution Framework.

Led by long-time management consulting trainer Kevin Schwenker, FCMC, this workshop will cover the diagnosis and action planning stages of the consulting process.

“I will be teaching a technique for developing and delivering a solid diagnosis to clients,” said Schwenker.
Schwenker, principal of Schwenker & Associates in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has been active in the fields of human resources development, strategic planning and marketing as a management consultant for over 20 years. As a national trainer for CMC-Canada he has taught hundreds of management consultants in introductory and advanced courses for the CMC designation since 1996. He also led the team which wrote the recently published “Management Consulting: An Introduction to the Methodologies, Tools and Techniques of the Profession”, part of the CMC-Canada Common Body of Knowledge.

“We feel that experienced consultants as well as people new to management and business consulting will both find great value in Kevin’s consulting framework workshop,” said conference organizer Michele Bicego, CMC. “This is the first conference our institute has organized and the high calibre of presenters such as Kevin will guarantee we deliver on our conference theme: Charting a Course to Value.”

Schwenker will also deliver workshops on change management and project management as part of Consulting Conference 2010, which will be held May 28 and 29 in Richmond, B.C. at the River Rock Casino.
Early management conference registration discounts are available through March 31 for both CMC and non-CMC members. A student rate is also available. CMC-Canada members will receive 15 professional development credits for participation in the conference and an additional 10 credits for the consulting framework workshop May 30.

Cost of the framework workshop is $325 for conference participants or $395 for the workshop only. Cost includes all materials, handouts and lunch.
